Cleanliness

The proverb goes thus, “Cleanliness is next to godliness.” To keep clean in dress and living, in fact in everything is indeed a good habit, almost a virtue. We should first of all make our dresses clean, then our house and then our society. When outside home we should not throw refuses on the road, railway platform or any other public places. The children must be taught to brush their teeth, wash up hands and face, take regular bath etc. They should be taught not to spit here and there, not to take food with unwashed hands, not to wear dirty dress etc. to keep the diseases away and maintain good health. But there are some who do not maintain cleanliness. They make the classroom dirty in the early life and public places in later life. They not only do harm to themselves but also to the society in general. Besides, cleanliness of body leads to cleanliness of mind. A person with a clean mind is loved and respected by all. So we should all form the habit right from the beginning of our life.
