Newspaper

A set of large folded sheets of paper containing printed news, views, and articles is called newspaper. Newspapers are categorized as daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly. It is popularly believed that it was first introduced in China in the 11th century after the invention of paper. Newspaper plays an important role in modern civilization. Modern life cannot be thought of without newspaper. It keeps our life interwoven with the rapidly changing atmosphere around. Through newspaper we get all news collected from every corner of the world right at our doors at a reasonable cost. As a mass media newspaper has a vital role to form public opinion about certain issues social or political. So, it is often called the 'people's parliament'. It is unfortunate that, sometimes false and fabricated news are published which may create misunderstanding and embitter relations. To avoid the demerits of newspaper, we should not receive news from newspaper blindly or thoughtlessly. In spite of having some demerits, newspaper is a blessing of modern civilization. So, we all must form the habit of reading newspaper every day.
