Necessity of Learning English

English is the most influential language of the present world. It is the only international language which is spoken almost all over the world. According to world statistics, about 350 million people speak English as a first language and another 300 million use it as a second language. It is the official or semi-official language in more than 60 countries and of many international organizations So, learning English is important in all spheres of life. We cannot acquire higher education without having a good command of English, because all the books on higher education are written in English. International trade and commerce cannot run without English. Multinational companies use English to communicate between offices in different countries .Nowadays, more than 80% of all information in the world's computer is in English. It's no Wonder that job advertisements now a days often ask for a good working knowledge of English. So it is quite impossible to get a good job with a good salary without being efficient in English. English is internationally recognized a medium of communication. Moreover, in order to keep pace with the modern world, we must learn English. On the other hand, we should learn English to enrich our mother tongue.
