T.V Channels

'Satellite channel refers to TV channels run through satellite. An STVR (Satellite Television Receiver) receives signals from a satellite to enable people to watch satellite television. Satellite television has added a new dimension to television. With its help we get the opportunity to enjoy the TV channels around the world. Satellite channels introduce us with the world's civilization, culture, politics, trade and commerce, weather, sports, recreations etc. Thus satellite channels help us to break down prejudices and broaden our outlook. Nowadays we believe the world to be a global village. No doubt, the satellite TV channels have much contribution to this. But at the same time, satellite television channels have some demerits too. Indecent programmes are often telecast through these channels. Our young people's tastes are being gradually influenced by these programmes. Children are becoming aggressive watching violent movies telecast in these channels.in a word, we are drifting away from our own culture and modes of life. So, everyone should be more cautious about using and allowing the children watch satellite television channels.
