I am a student or Our School remains very busy all through the clay. Our classes begin at 30 in the morning and run till 4 in the afternoon short break at 1 O’clock. Within this period. I have to place my school, I have to place Bangla, English, mathematics and geography, my compulsory subjects before the leisure ‘period to my teacher-S. In my leisure period, I take my tiffin. Sometimes I play with my classmates in our school game room. Then I place my other lessons to my teachers. rafter every lesson. we get 10 minutes’ leisure time. At this time, I discuss it with others. students about our lessons or gossip with them. I play football, hockey or ha-du-du with other students. We have also a debating club in our school and I also take part in debates. Our school arranges cultural functions in every month and I sing a patriotic son; on that day. Most of the days of my school, with My friends. water in our school garden.

City Life Is Hampered for Traffic Jam

 

Traffic jam is a problem in all towns and cities in Bangladesh. It occurs when a mass of vehicles crowd so closely together that movement becomes impossible for some time. The causes of traffic jams are different in proportion to our population to roads have not increased. Most of the roads are narrow and have many bends. There are many unlicensed vehicles, which should be brought under control. Most of the drivers are not willing to obey the traffic rules. The number of traffic police is insufficient. Traffic jam is very vexatious and time killing. When we are caught in traffic Jams, we simply get truck up in one place. We can move neither forward nor backward. It causes great suffering to the ambulance carrying dying patients and the fire brigade vehicle. However, this problem can be solved by taking some seashores. Well planned spacious roads should be constructed. One way the movement should be introduced. Traffic rules should be imposed strictly. Sufficient traffic police should be posted on important points. After doing all these things we can hope to have a good traffic system for our easy and comfortable movement.

My Favorite TV Programme: Ityadi

 

I am very fond of Bangladesh television (BTV). It broadcasts many educational and recreational programmes every day from these programmes. I like much the magazine programme “Ityadi”. This programme has been being broadcast in BTV onetime after every three months for the last 14 years. It is written, produced and presented by Hanif Sanket. This programme includes a song, joke, dance and whatnot. Though, the programmes goal is to give recreation to the audiences, it also gives some moral lessons to us. Sometimes it points to our eyes about our everyday faults. Again many beautiful and historical places of the country also of the abroad are broadcast in the programme. Thus, it gives us scope to view many interesting places from the corner of our homes. In a word, this programme is a complete programme from all side. This really a worth enjoyable and praise the able programme. I like this programme very much.

How to Celebrate an Eid Day

 

The eid is the greatest fo all festivals of the Muslims in the world. All Muslims especially the young ones waits for eid as it draws near. After the month-long Ramadan remain busy to make a plan about how I would enjoy the Eid day. First I shall get up from bed early in the morning on the eid day. After having a bath I shall put new dresses. Then, I shall embrace the people present there. Next, I shall go to the graveyard with my father and pray for the departed souls. Returning to my house, I shall make salam to the elders and they will give us dua and then they give us some money as eid tips. After that, I shall go to meet with my friends and neighbours and exchange greetings with them. My mother will cook Shemai, biriani and other delicious food for us. I shall enjoy this delicious food with the other members of my family. I shall spend the afternoon with my friends we shall have a lot of fun there, and pass our time in merrymaking. I shall return my house a lot of fun there, and pass our time in the evening. I shall return my house in the evening and pass the time. Finally, I shall return to my house. In the evening. Then I shall enjoy special TV programmes. After enjoying the TV programmes I shall go to bed.

How to Organize, Arrange Books in A Library?

 

A library is very helpful for a man hunting for knowledge. A library is a place where many books are kept for public use. A well-established library has so many books that the books are to be kept in a systematic way. The books are kept in an arranged way to local any book very easily. All of the books in a library are organized into categories or classes and then arranged alphabetically within their class. There are two systems for organizing books in a library. One is called the Dewey Decimal systems and the other is known as the library of the congress systems. Most of the libraries follow the Dewey decimal systems. Under the Dewey Decimal system, the books are grouped into ten major categories or subject areas. Each category is assigned a range for numbers and every book in the category is assigned its own special number within that number range. For example, the number from 300 to 400 is assigned for art books. That means a particular art book can have a number such as 312.31 or 488.08. an art book would never have a number such as 800 or 1000. The number that is assigned to the book is called number.

My Mother

 

My mother’s name is Shahana Anwar. She is 45 years old. She is a teacher and works at the government primary school in our village. Besides doing her duties at the school, she does a lot of things for the family. She prepares our breakfast and serves it with her own hand. She cooks and meals. She cleans all our rooms. When her school is open, she cannot take her meal with us in the daytime but at night she has her meal with us and also serves. She sees to the comfort of my father and us-her children. On holidays she washes our clothes and hers. My mother is a hard-working housewife as well as a good teacher.

I think the who people who love his/her mother are the best man in the world. We should try our best to serve for mother so that she never suffers in her life. Every people should provide an environment for his/her for where mother feel so happy just like heaven. So, we should create such an environment for mother which will be just like a heaven for mother.

Campus Violence

 

There is hardly any educated man who is not well acquainted with the term campus violence. All the colleges and universities have become mini cantonments that are full of mortal weapons and ammunition. The educational campuses have turned into fertile ground for violence or terrorism. The students. instead of concentrating their mind on studies take arms in their hands. Many brilliant innocent students fall an easy victim and cannot attain success. There is no tolerance among the students. One can not tolerate the other. Democracy teaches tolerance but the students are far away from the teaching of democracy. Students should take part in politics but this does not mean terrorism. Campus violence not only ruins the academic environment but also spoils the life of the students and takes away many valuable lives. However, the students are not to blame. They have become puppets in the hands of the so-called narrow-minded politicians. The self-centered narrow-minded politicians exploit innocent students and encourage them terrorism by supplying them with weapons.

By creating awareness in the student’s campus violence can be eradicated from the sacred soil of the seats of learning. Students should bear in mind that they are born to read and write. They are the devotees in the temple of learning. So they should devote themselves to learning without killing a single moment. It is the seed time for them to take preparation for the future battle of time and may not cry for help when they are thrown into the vortex of life. So instead of implicating themselves in so-called student politics, they should fill their mind with the fuel of ideas to set ‘sail on the voyage of life. They should not be puppets in the hands of the so-called narrow-minded politicians. Last of all self-centered narrow-minded politicians should not exploit innocent students and encourage them terrorism by supplying them with weapons.

Price Spiral

 

Today price spiral is a common phenomenon in our economy. The price of essential commodities is increasing by leaps and bounds. The causes of the price spiral should be attributed to several factors. Hoarding is one of the important factors for the soaring price levels. Both the producers and the consumers are dishonest now. They hoard the essential commodities with an ill motive and as a result, there is a breakdown in the supply. Thus the situation of the price level is aggravated. Smuggling and black-marketing are also essential factors that cause price spirals. Essential commodities are always being smuggled across the border. Many dishonest tradesmen have earned huge black money through black-marketing, Shortage of supply due to low production also accelerates the price-hike of essential goods. Our population is increasing in geomatrical progress while the supply of food increases in arithmetical progress.

However, efforts should be made and necessary actions and proper measures should be taken to tackle the situation. An adequate supply of essential commodities is to be ensured. And last of all government should launch a program to tackle the price spiral problem. The government should set fair price shops. But the mere establishment of fair price shops will be of no avail unless the problem is tackled in a comprehensive way. It is imperative that the Government should engage its machinery to enforce proper and effective measures ruthlessly so as to eradicate the causes of the malady of the price spiral. Again smuggling and black marketing should be controlled. Smugglers should be penalized by giving exemplary fines and punishment. Smugglers should be dealt with sternly so that they might not create artificial wants by hoarding. ‘ Hoarding should be discouraged. The businessman should be taught the lesson of morality. They should also learn that Islam has strictly prohibited hoarding and illegal profit. Last of all government should enforce laws and order to solve this problem.

Over Eating

 

Overeating means taking too much food than one needs. It is a very bad habit. It is harmful to our health. We eat not to overload our stomach but to maintain sound health. Sound health depends on eating habits to some extent. A man who is in the habit of eating moderate food can live long and does not suffer from any kind of fatal disease. On the other hand, a man who always overloads his stomach suffers from many fatal diseases like blood pressure. heart disease etc. The poor and the illiterate take much food. They want to fill up their bellies. They do not think of the food value. They do not know that overeating causes diseases and makes a man sick. Sometimes man dies from overeating. Overeating is not at all a good habit. It tells upon our health. It makes man fat. It also makes man voracious. So the habit of overeating should be checked at any cost in order to lead a healthy life.

By raising awareness of the people the habit of overeating can be prevented to some extent. People should understand that overeating is not at all good for health. It tells upon health seriously. People should realize that overeating can not lengthen life. Rather it creates various diseases. Moreover, it will save our foreign currency which is spent on importing rice and other food items. We should also bear in mind the saying of the holy prophet that moderate eating keeps our body fit. So considering the bad effect of overeating we should give up this habit and cultivate the habit of moderate eating.

Failure in English

 

Failure in English is a common matter in our country. There are many reasons for the failure of the students in English and the reasons are not tar to seek. Firstly our education system is defective. The English textbooks for the students of our country are not suitable for them. Secondly, the students are not motivated to learn English. They think that it is unnecessary to spend time learning English. Moreover English is a foreign language. It seems difficult to them. So they do like to learn English. They think it is a mere wastage of time. Thirdly most of the so-called English teachers are not good at English. They are not competent and trained. They can not teach the students in a scientific way. Fourthly the students only cram the answers. In the examination hall, they forget what they have crammed. So the answers they write are incorrect. These are the reasons for which the students of our country fail in English.

Our faulty education system should be modified and improved. The English textbooks should be suitable for the students. The students should be encouraged to learn English. More trained and competent teachers should be appointed in schools and colleges. English teachers should have a good command of English. They should apply the scientific methods of teaching in the classroom. They should deliver their lecture in simple and lucid English.

Poverty

 

By poverty, we mean a situation in which man can not meet the basic needs of life. Most of the people of our country are very poor. They live below the poverty line. They can hardly keep body and soul together.

However, this poverty can be alleviated to some extent. Our lands should be cultivated scientifically. Scientific methods and modern farming should be introduced. The high birth rate should be controlled. More employment opportunities should be created. Animal husbandry, crop diversification, fisheries, poultry, horticulture, agriculture, dairy farming should be introduced and all these things will go a long way to alleviate poverty.

Deterioration of Law-And-Order Situation of Bangladesh

 

It is very shocking that the law-and-order situation of our country has deteriorated seriously. The whole country is in the grip of hardened criminals. Killing, hijacking, pistoling, and other antisocial activities occur in broad daylight at random. There is none to challenge their activities. People are always panic-stricken. They do not feel secure at all. People cannot enjoy a peaceful breath and pass every moment in great awe because they may fall an easy victim to the sweet will of the born criminals. In a word, the whole country is in the grip of the criminals.

This problem cannot be solved overnight. First of all, the law and order situation of the country should be improved. Law enforcing authorities should always be on the alert. The criminals should be sternly dealt with. Exemplary punishment should be inflicted on the criminals. The judicial system regarding the punishment of the criminals should be prompt because there goes a proverb that “Justice delayed justice denied”. More law and enforcing authorities should be employed at important points. If they are provided with suitable jobs. many of them will give up this hateful criminal activity. Moreover, people of all walks of life should come forward to develop their morality.

Tension

 

Tension means mental. emotional or nervous strain. Almost all the educated people are well acquainted with the term. Tension may be of different kinds. It is very dangerous. A person may suffer from tension for various reasons. When a person is in the grip of tension, it causes him many serious diseases like pressure, heart attack, brain stroke. As a result, his health deteriorates day by day. He loses his temper and balance. He cannot do anything. He comes to no use of the society. Day by day he becomes sick. As days are passing by. tension is mounting high. High ambition, frustration, social problems, political unrest, economic crisis, and many other things give birth to tension. At present we find the tension between nations. However, we can get rid of tension by leading a carefree life.

A man can get rid of tension by leading a carefree life and carefree life means free from anxieties and worries. In order to lead a carefree life, we should not run after pelf and power. We should not nourish high ambition because it drives us mad. We should engage ourselves in more and more work. We should devote ourselves to social and religious activities.

Smoking

 

It goes without saying that smoking is a dangerous habit. In spite of knowing the truth, more than eighty percent people of in our country are in the habit of smoking. Smoking causes many fatal diseases. It causes cancer, heart attack, chronic bronchitis, and some other diseases. One puff of cigarette contains fifteen billion particles of injurious matters. Nicotine is one of them. It prevents the free flow of blood through the veins. This reduces the supply of oxygen in the body. It damages our lungs. It also harms the nerves. damages the brain and sometimes spoils character. People addicted to smoking lose their appetite for food and energy for power. Smoking also pollutes the environment and the air. Besides. it causes irritation in the eye. offends the nose and unsettles the mind. Smoking is so dangerous that the stench of cigarettes is repulsive to a non-smoker. Moreover. it wastes a lot of money. So all of us, irrespective of caste, creed, color, religion, and age should launch a massive campaign against smoking.

First of all by creating awareness the bad habit of smoking can be given up. Smokers should realize that it is a slow poison. It, instead of lengthening the longevity, shortens life. It causes many fatal diseases. Smokers should also realize that it can not make them smart. They should also know that. it pollutes the environment. It causes a sense of revulsion to the non-smokers. Its stench is unbearable. It costs a lot of money, So smokers should realize that smoking is nothing but sheer wastage of money. Last of all giving up the habit of smoking depends on the goodwill and willpower of the smokers.

Environment Problem: Arsenic

 

In our day-to-day life we are experiencing a new kind of problems. Our environment is facing new pollution. Arsenic pollution is one of them. It is one of the big problems of our country. Arsenic pollution is causing much harm to human life. It is found in water especially in tube-well water. By drinking this water people are suffering a lot. It causes sore in the fingers or any other part of the body. By drinking water polluted by arsenic people get diseased in various ways. Sometimes the sore turn into gangrene and then to cancer. So arsenic pollution is a great threat to human life. At present, there is no medical treatment or medicine that can prevent arsenic pollution. The bad effect of arsenic can not be described in words. It is a poison. If it gets mixed in our body this or that way, we are sure to suffer in life. So we should take utmost care and guard against this poison. We should find out the remedy to this problem.

First, we should drink water from a source that contains no arsenic. Tubewells need to be tested to separate the safe from the unsafe. Safe tube wells should be painted green and unsafe ones should be painted red. More tube wells should be set up which are free from arsenic and bacteria. Surface water in pond and river is free from arsenic and so it can be used after a process of treatment. Rainwater should be collected for drinking in a bacteria-free container. Water should be boiled to remove arsenic. A healthy balanced diet containing fish and vegetables should be eaten. Food containing vitamins A, C, and E should be taken.

Adopting Unfair Means In The Examination

 

Nowadays copying in the examination has become a crucial problem in our education. It is so widespread that the conscious people are greatly alarmed at it. It is not a new thing. It was in the past and it is prevalent still. But at present, it is very much rampant. During any kind of pubic examination, an examination hall becomes almost a fish market full of hue and cry. So-called helpers and well-wishers gather around the campus of the examination centers and supply copying materials. There are many reasons behind copying. First of all our education system is defective. Secondly, the teachers do not teach the students in the classroom well. Thirdly there are not sufficient trained teachers. Fourthly some students engage themselves in politics and idle away their time. Moreover, we find moral degradation is the main factor for copying in the examination. Besides. after liberation many schools and colleges have been set up on the political ground. These institutions do not have any academic atmosphere. So the students of these schools and colleges can not but adopt unfair means in the examination. So the people from all strata should come forward to tackle the problem jointly, In order to solve copying in the examination, the Govt. has taken some preventive measures. First of all the Govt. is trying to raise public awareness through mass media. Recently the government has enforced a law that if any student is found copying in the examination hall, she/he will be expelled from the examination hall. If any invigilator is found helping any examinee, legal action will be taken against her/him. Even if outsiders are found involved in helping any examinee in copying, they will also be punished. The government has interchanged the examination centers and formed invigilation teams to monitor the overall condition of the examination centers.

Spending of Summer Vacation at My Village

 

Within a short time, my classes will be close for summer vacation. I want to spend my holiday in my village home. Sonargaon with my friend Amin. Our village is surrounded by a vast expanse of green scenery. We will lose ourselves in the midst of nature. Our village stands by the side of a river. The river abounds with fishes. We will fish there. It will be very pleasant to have a walk by the side of the river. Swimming in the river will not be less interesting. More interesting will be boating in the river or in the canal on a moon-lit-night. We shall also be able to play different games in the evening. Moreover, you know Sonargaon is a place of historical interest. The museum of Sonargaon will of course charm you much. We will be able to see many ancient relics there. Everything there will give us much pleasure.
