Blood Donation

Harder to give ; easier to take. So is said of life. We cannot give life to a dead body. But we can at least save a dying man. We can do it only by giving him a few drops of our own blood. It is known to all that blood is a vital medicine to save a life. We need it in case of emergency. Sometimes expert doctors and costly medicine go in vain for want of a bottle of blood. But we all know that blood is not produced in the bosom of the sea. Nor is it created in the chemical library. Human body is the only source of blood. So the only way to get blood is to  collect it from human beings and store it in the blood banks. But blood banks cannot always cope with the ever-increasing demand of blood. So we need to donate blood voluntarily. Now-a-days different clubs organize blood donation camps as their routine duties. We should donate blood in these camps voluntarily not misled by the rumour that blood donation is detrimental to health. For, to donate blood is divine ; to refuse it is a great sin.
