“Timeand tide wait for none” – so goes the proverb. The value of time in life is so
great. Sometimes it is said that time is money. But as a matter of fact, it is
more precious than money. Lost knowledge may be gained by study, lost health by
medicine and lost wealth by industry. But time once lost is lost for ever. So
it is essential for us to make the best use of time. And proper utilisation of
time needs proper planning. A punctual man knows how to make the right use of
time. He knows that ‘a stitch in time saves nine’. So he does the right thing
at the right, appropriate time. In fact, life is full of struggle. The man who
fights heart and soul in life wins the crown of success. In our life where
“fifty springs are little room”, we have no time to lose. We must remember that
we have “promises to keep” and “miles to go” before we sleep. All great men of
the world rose to their height by making a wise use of time. So children must
be trained to grow a habit of punctuality from the very beginning.
